After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to many people for nearly 40 days before finally ascending to heaven. During that time, he continued to teach his disciples and set in motion the process for building his church.
Feed My Lambs
Jesus spoke with Peter after his resurrection and told him to feed his flock. Jesus, like any good shepherd, provided for his people even after his death.
John 21:15-16 “...Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
Jesus loves his people and setup his church to feed them until he returns.
Make Disciples of ALL Nations
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
