From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
REPENT
Meaning: to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin. To turn around and go a different way.
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven over eighty (80) times. Christians are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. We don’t always realize it or feel like it, but it is true. The Kingdom of Heaven is both a real thing in the here and now and something that is coming in the future. Today, the Kingdom of Heaven is the manifestation of Christ on the earth. Christians, together in the Body of Christ (e.g. the church) are the present physical manifestion of the kingdom. The Holy Spirit is active today in the kingdom. A day is coming when Jesus will return and he will establish a physical and everlasting kingdom. In that future kingdom we will see him face-to-face and he will rule overall all of creation in a clear and present way.
