Psalm 45:6-8
"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions; your robes are all fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia.”
Proverbs 28:1-2
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue.
Jesus set the standard for our lifestyles, our thoughts, our actions and our love for God and fellow man. God the Father declared him to be God and proclaimed His love for righteousness. As a righteous leader, Jesus correctly judges all men and yet offers salvation freely through belief in Himself. What must we do to be saved? Accept the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus, that he was God, died for your sins, and was raised from the dead to conquer death and sin.
1 Peter 2:22-25
"He [Jesus] committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”
